Healing Services in Fort Albany with Agathe Nakogee

August 19, 2024

The community of Fort Albany came together for a meaningful series of healing events led by Healing Team member Agathe Nakogee. From August 13th to 18th, these gatherings provided spaces for connection, reflection, and support for community members.

Event Highlights:
  • Ladies Night on Tuesday brought women together at the Community Hall for soup, sandwiches, and diamond painting, fostering a creative and welcoming space for healing.
  • Afternoon Social on Wednesday, hosted by Celina Wynne, was filled with snacks, games, and laughter at the Hub Program Building.
  • Gospel Night on Thursday offered a powerful evening of reflection and music at the Community Hall, creating a space for spiritual healing.
  • Campfire Social on Friday night brought warmth and togetherness at Olive’s Place, where stories and connections were shared under the stars.
  • Nature Therapy on Saturday provided an opportunity to connect with the land, with a cookout hosted at the Youth Site.
  • Children’s Ministry on Sunday gave the younger generation a safe and nurturing environment to gather and learn at the Pentecostal Church.

In addition to the events, Agathe also offered one-on-one counselling services and home visits throughout the week, providing personal support to those in need.

Chi Miikwetch to Agathe Nakogee and everyone who participated, shared, and supported these healing initiatives. These gatherings reminded us of the strength and resilience of our community as we continue our journey toward well-being.

Let us carry this spirit forward into future events and opportunities for healing!
