Celine Sutherland’s Week of Mental Health Support in Community

Healing Team member Celine Sutherland spent a week in the community, providing essential mental health support and healing services. Her schedule was filled with meaningful activities that brought people together, supported individual healing, and fostered connections within the community.

Highlights from the Week (November 25–30):
  • Monday, November 25: A productive networking session in the morning, followed by a gathering at the Community Hall in the afternoon.
  • Tuesday, November 26: Celine connected with community members during morning networking and provided personalized home visits in the afternoon.
  • Wednesday, November 27: Morning home visits offered one-on-one support, while the afternoon mental health session at the Community Hall provided a safe space for group healing.
  • Thursday, November 28: Celine focused on networking in the morning and hosted family support sessions in the afternoon.
  • Friday, November 29: A morning gathering at the Community Hall was followed by afternoon elder home visits, ensuring elders received the care and attention they needed.
  • Saturday, November 30: The week wrapped up with a warm and welcoming session of Labrador Tea and Bannock at Celine’s Gazebo, where community members came together for reflection and connection.
